Happening in the market!

The KLCI rose above the 900 points level to touch a 3-week intraday high of 926.6 points on Wednesday before profit-taking later in the week reduced the indexs gains. The KLCI closed at 893.9 points to register a gain of 3.5% for the week.

Regional markets mostly closed on a firmer note as bargain-hunting emerged after the sell-down in previous weeks.

The market is anticipated to move in tandem with overseas markets as investors monitor the outlook for the U.S. credit market, global economic growth and interest rates.
