The Market Kicks!

Declines on Wall Street and regional markets caused the KLCI to ease to a 3-week intraday low of 853.2 points on Friday, before closing at 866.8 points to register a loss of 1.7% for the week.

Most regional markets fell more than 6% over the week on continued concerns that regional economic growth will be dampened by the current global economic slowdown.

The market is anticipated to move in tandem with overseas markets as investors monitor the outlook for the U.S. credit market, global economic growth and interest rates.
